Curtis “Mike P” Powell is a Kansas City native, U.S. Army Gulf War veteran, Food Network champion and founder of Mike P's Products LLC. His story started with family, service and feeding people—and grew one sample at a time.

Mike P grew up in Kansas City’s Ivanhoe neighborhood, the youngest of twelve children. His mother taught him to be the best at whatever he chose to do. That lesson became his foundation: give 110%, never quit and make something people can feel proud to serve.
At 18, Mike P joined the U.S. Army. He served in Germany and deployed during Desert Storm. The discipline, loyalty and determination he carried home still guide the company today.

One Homemade Sauce Changed Everything.

The First Sauce
Mike P stopped doctoring up store-bought sauce and created his own Kansas City Style flavor. When people kept asking for it, a product business was born.

A casino executive chef tasted Mike P's sauce at a tailgate. That flavor opened the door to a major commercial opportunity at a California casino.

Food Network Champion
Mike P and Sheila Johnson represented Kansas City on NFL Tailgate Takedown, Episode 3. They fell behind early, refused to quit and won the Chiefs vs. Raiders showdown.

Today, Mike P personally demonstrates products in grocery stores, builds retail partnerships and introduces customers to the brand one sample at a time.
